This is the first of a new series for the Renew the Arts podcast, Deep Dive, where we pay very close attention to an entire album or song in all of its parts, from composition to production. In this first of the series, Michael interviews Sean Sullivan, the creative force behind the music of Warbler, about his forthcoming third album, Wrestling.

In this double-stuffed episode, they introduce the album, listen through it in its entirety, then talk about it track by track. It’s in-depth and detailed, and we hope it helps you understand a little more all that goes in to the process of making an album like this happen. If you want to get right in to listening to the record, it starts at exactly 19 minutes in to the podcast (right after general introduction to the album).

If you’d like to support Sean by purchasing Wrestling by Warbler, it’s currently available on his bandcamp a couple months before it becomes available worldwide on streaming services. Check that out here.

If you provide your email address, we can get to know one another!

No, it's not a trap. We promise not to bombard your email inbox. In fact, most people complain we don't send enough emails! But here's what you can expect:

  1. In the following week or so you'll get a few messages. These are individually designed to catch you up on all the great things we're doing!
  2. Once you're caught up, you can expect (on average) one email a month, keeping you updated on the progress we're making toward our mission to liberate Christian creativity.
  3. And once you have a handle on our work, we can try to get you plugged in. Maybe you're an artist that wants to get more involved. Maybe you want to keep tabs on our projects. Whatever has drawn you to our work, this is the best way to get plugged in.
